Visit to the Ports of Naples and Salerno on November 29-30, 2018

The “Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centrale – AdSP MTC” hosted a two days stakeholder meeting, supported by some visits of key terminals of the Port of Naples and Salerno for PortForward consortium partners: MAR.TE. Sea-Land Logistics S.c.ar.l., Fraunhofer IFF, Acciona. The meeting have involved the main port players as following: Flavio Gioia S.p.A., Salerno Auto Terminal S.r.l., Harbour Office of Salerno, Lega Navale Italiana, Azimut Yachting S.c.ar.l., Giuseppe Gallozzi Limited S.p.A., Compagnia Marittima Meridionale S.r.l., Terminal Traghetti Napoli S.r.l., De Luca & C. Impresa Marittima S.r.l., Magazzini Tirreni S.r.l., Co.Na.Te.Co. S.p.A. and Rimorchiatori Napoletani S.r.l.

The event started on 29^th November 2018 with a set of meeting – coordinated by the President of AdSP MTC – with the primary port stakeholders and some representatives of AdSP MTC, working in different areas of the organization related to the scope of PortForward activities, including IT and Infrastructure. The meeting was followed by a boat trip in the Port of Naples explaining the main activities carried out, showing the port facilities and the projects being implemented and approved.  At the end of the first day, there was a working session with a representative of Fraunhofer IFF focused on “KPIs definition” in the MAR.TE. Sea-Land Logistics S.c.ar.l. offices.

On 30^th November 2018 the working session started with a set of meeting in the offices of Salerno Auto Terminal S.r.l., where the Managing Director explained the main operations and logistic processes carried out by the company (specialized on Ro-Ro business). The meeting was followed by a visit of the Grimaldi Terminal Euromed S.C.p.A. The day ended with an additional meeting in the AdSP territorial office of Salerno, where the President of MAR.TE. Sea-Land Logistics S.c.ar.l. presented the profile of the company and explained the fundamental aspects of the PortForward project, interacting directly with the key players of Salerno port, whose are the main actors to improve the use keys.
