PortForward was presented at the 2nd Logistics Conference Central Germany on September 9th, 2021.

Central Germany is the hub and junction of many trans-European transport axes in logistics and, with its resident logistics experts, occupies the key position in Germany. However being logistics world champion – does not mean remaining logistics world champion. – The big players don’t sleep…! Countries like Sweden, Belgium and Austria have caught up strongly in terms of infrastructure development. Denmark, Japan and Finland have also already risen to the top ten locations in the world logistics ranking. Therefore, it is worthwhile to take a look across and through the transport modes of Central Germany, with its numerous resident logistics companies, which cooperate with competence centers, universities, Fraunhofer Institutes, colleges, etc. and want to put their innovations from business and science into practice on both sides and at full speed.

Olaf Poenicke, PortForward Project Manager and Dr. Heiko Maly, Managing Director of the Port of Magdeburg participated at the conference and gave a presentation titled »PortForward – VR-model port of the future«.
